Primary Environment (3-6 yrs of age)

The  Montessori primary environment at Kalpagam Montessori Resource Centre follows all the principles laid down by Dr. Maria Montessori herself. The environment is prepared carefully keeping in mind the psychological, physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs of the child between  3-6 yrs of age.

Here, there are no timetables to control activities or a  rigid syllabus to hinder the expansion of the child's  curious mind. There are no textbooks, tests or exams in the primary level. Instead, we observe the children every day and gain a clear understanding of their interests, strengths and weaknesses, which helps us help them in a much better and personalized way. We have a mixed-age environment where all the children between 3-6yrs of age learn together. Children are introduced to a multitude of  hands-on activities in Exercises of Practical Life, Sensorial, Language (English, Tamil, Malayalam & Hindi), Arithmetic and Cultural (Science & Social) studies.
